Early MMOs
I played a handful of MMOs in 2010-2012, of which I no longer remember much about besides vague memories of gameplays and the friends I made in those games whose names are mostly forgotten.
gPotato
Back when gPotato existed and published MMOs, most games I discovered
were published by them. Rappelz is probably the first MMO that I played
regularly. I mostly remember players in chat calling the game "Crappelz"
as I explored the open world in less than 30fps with a laptop.
I also tried other gPotato games like Flyff and then-newly-released
Prius Online (A.K.A. Arcane Saga).

The first MMO I called "home", the first MMO where I made friends in, and the first MMO where I played and socialized as part of a guild. It also had tameable mounts!
I played the game from its open beta testing phase until its unfortunate shutdown 1 year later.
A good MMO if your rig can't run anything else. Great community (at least when I played)! Made a lot of friends. Good events, constant updates, world bosses, dragon raids, endless more things to do, try Peaca Abyss Advanced dungeon!

I do not remember much about this game. There was a loli boss named Poharan who had big guns. I remember 2-faction PVP. Arena. Zombie mobs. The story quest was linear. Oversexualized NPCs. Pirates. ... I played only for a few months probably. My rig then was not able to handle too many players at once so I experienced poor framerates during massive PVP battles.

New World is a promising game by Amazon Game Studios. I participated in closed beta testing and played the game at release. Unfortunately, the game was riddled with bugs and exploits, effectively ruining the game's economy and PvP system, prompting me to quit.

I returned to Aeternum after a year to scratch an itch for another MMO. Pleasantly surprised that AGS fixed a lot of game-breaking bugs and now have the game on a generally good direction, I stuck around for Outpost Rush and Invasions.
